Servers

We design, deploy and maintain server infrastructure.

Servers

A server goes unnoticed as long as it works. But once it goes down, everything stops: shared files won't open, email is down, the accounting system and website are unreachable. Most often the cause isn't the hardware. The server was set up once and then forgotten: no updates, no monitoring, no tested backups.

We take care of the entire server lifecycle, from choosing the configuration to day-to-day monitoring of its health.

Design

Before buying hardware or renting capacity, we work out exactly what needs to run and under what load.

  • On-premise, cloud or hybrid. We compare the options on total cost of ownership, reliability and data storage requirements.
  • Choosing the configuration. CPU, memory, disks and RAID sized for your real workload, with headroom for growth but without paying for what you don't need.
  • Architecture. Which services run on which server or virtual machine, how they connect, and what happens if one of them fails.

Deployment

  • Operating systems: Linux (Ubuntu, Debian), plus the Russian-made Alt Linux and Astra Linux for organizations that require them.
  • Virtualization and containers: we separate services into virtual machines and Docker containers, so a problem in one doesn't affect the rest.
  • Typical server roles: file storage, email, web servers and websites, VPN for remote access, version control systems, internal company services.

Backups

A backup you've never tried to restore is a hope, not a safeguard. That's why we:

  • set up automatic, scheduled backups of data and configurations;
  • store copies separately from the main server, including off-site;
  • regularly verify that data can actually be restored from them.

Monitoring and maintenance

  • Monitoring. We track disk health, load, free space and service availability. We find out about a problem before your staff do.
  • Updates. We install security updates promptly, testing them first so they don't break working services.
  • Scheduled maintenance is carried out outside business hours.

Security

  • firewall configuration and closing unnecessary ports;
  • secure remote access via VPN;
  • SSL certificates with automatic renewal;
  • access rights management and account control.

Documentation and access stay with you

Every server is documented: what's installed on it, how it's configured, where the backups are and how to restore them. All passwords and access credentials belong to you and are kept by you. Infrastructure shouldn't depend on one person's memory, even if that person is us.

How we work

  1. Audit. If you already have servers, we review their current state and identify the risks.
  2. Plan. We propose a solution: what to keep, what to improve, what to replace.
  3. Implementation. We deploy or migrate services with minimal downtime.
  4. Support. We take the servers on for ongoing maintenance, or hand them over to your own specialist along with the documentation.

Servers can be maintained as a standalone service or as part of comprehensive IT outsourcing.

Who it's for

  • Companies whose server "just works", but nobody really knows how it's set up.
  • Those moving to new hardware, to the cloud, or to Russian-made operating systems.
  • Those who need reliable backups and confidence that their data won't be lost.
